8 Color Palettes to Get You Excited About Pantone's Color of the Year

And the award goes to…Ultra Violet! Check out these eight Pantone color palettes that’ll inspire you to bring this beautiful shade to your next coloring page.

By Jasmine Lim

We’re ringing in the new year with Pantone’s color of the year: Ultra Violet! This exuberant shade of purple is Pantone’s newest color inspiration—a color of “inventiveness and imagination.” Look to these color palettes put together by Pantone for inspiration on how to feature this special shade. While there is no colored pencil that matches Pantone’s Ultra Violet perfectly, we’ve found it looks similar to the “violet” in most colored pencil sets. Don’t worry if you can’t get the color to match perfectly—these palettes will still serve as great inspiration!)

Whether you choose Ultra Violet as the star of your color scheme or let it blend harmoniously in the background—your New Year coloring projects are sure to look stunning!
